Our Team

Nehal Madhani

CEO & Founder, Hacker

Before starting Plainlegal, Nehal practiced as a restructuring lawyer at Kirkland & Ellis, LLP, where he advised investors and multi-billion dollar companies in chapter 11 restructurings. A self-taught developer, he co-organizes one of the largest programming meetups in NYC. He also organizes NY Startup Lawyers, a group for tech-savvy lawyers, and PlainTalk, a speaking series where great lawyers teach NY entrepreneurs about legal issues through speaking events. He has a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the Wharton School of Business, and a B.A. from Northwestern University. When Nehal is not helping lawyers work more effectively, you can find him shooting street photography around the city.

Gabe is an usability expert with nearly a decade of experience making software that is easy and fun to use. Before joining Plainlegal, Gabe worked at Sprint, Access (formerly PalmSource), and Meetup. In his spare time, Gabe enjoys history, programming, cooking, movies, and music.
